Custom Channel Letter Fabrication Options
Face Lit Channel Letters
Face-lit channel letters, also called Front-lit letters, use the white acrylic face that allows the inner LED illumination to transmit the light through the front of the letters. It is the opposite type of backlit letters, made of translucent acrylic face, aluminum returns, and back, with internal LEDs.
Reverse Lit Channel Letters
Reverse channel letters, also known as Halo-lit letter, are individual letters with illumination behind their shape. They are mounted away from the wall, causing the light to shine through and create a halo effect around the letters.
Dual Lit Channel Letters
Dual-lit channel letters combine the features of front-lit and reverse-lit letters, offering the best of both worlds. These letters have a translucent face and a clear back, allowing the light to shine both outward and create a halo effect simultaneously.
Trimless Face Lit Channel Letters
Trimless channel letters are individually mounted onto a surface without visible trim. This creates a sleek, seamless appearance.
Open Face Channel Letters (Exposed Light Bulbs)
Open face channel letters with exposed light bulbs give a classic marquee design to the letters. They have an aluminum baffle set back into the channel, allowing the exposed blubs to sit back, inside the letter.
Open Face Channel Letters (Exposed Glass Neon)
Open face channel letters with exposed glass neon combine the classic look of neon signs with channel letter construction. The glass neon is attached to the face of the backs using clips. The channel faces are removed to expose the neon inside the channel letters.
Open Face Channel Letters (Exposed LED Rope)
The best alternative to glass neon, LED rope is flexible lighting strips that contain small LED bulbs encased in silicone tubing. The channel letters have an aluminum baffle set back into the channel. the LED rope is attached to the face of the baffle using clips.
Open Face Channel Letters (Exposed Push Through Acrylic)
Push through acrylic can be another option to mimic the appearance of neon. The channel letters have an aluminum baffle set back into the channel, allowing the acrylic to push through the baffle and illuminate.
